Dipdap

I moved to Ragdoll productions to work on Dipdap for my second studio position. And even though my car broke down on the way to the interview and a few production delays nearly thwarted me I finally started on the most fun I've had on any job. The team was small, Steve Roberts sitting scribbling an endless supply of silent comedy and 3 animators sitting next to him slurping back expresso and trying to keep up. We were each given our own 3 minute episodes and left to control the pace, storytelling and character performance of each mini film. So much trust.

Dipdap won the children's BAFTA in 2012 for short form and I animated 35 of the final 52 films. Dipdap remains on iPlayer over 10 years later.
